Position Summary: Responsible for assisting Opportunity Inc. Building Full Lives Program in a manner that furthers the mission and vision of the agency. This includes providing supervision and leadership, training and guidance for the staff as well as ensuring the well-being and safety of each participant under the direction of the BFL Manager. The position is responsible for assisting in managing participant outcome goals, measurements and full community integration. This position is also responsible for assisting the BFL Manager to operate within budgetary parameters, as well as for developing and implementing individualized goals and objectives for each participant.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee all participant goals, measurements and aiding in reaching said goals.
· Monitor and review quality of service and quality of care.
· Review and monitor participant goals and outcome measurements
· Develop and maintain a cooperative relationship with families and guardians, health care personnel
· Supervise BFL staff. Assist in assuring that the orientation, training, monitoring, and evaluation of all BFL employees agency standards and CCCW obligations, and standards.
· Collaboratively work with the BFL Manager to create goals and outcomes for each participant. Reevaluate on an ongoing, as needed basis.
· Communicate effectively by explaining policies and procedures; training new and existing staff; completing necessary paperwork, schedules, and all required documentation
· Assist in keeping programs within budgetary parameters
· Assure the accuracy of participant financial matters as applicable
· Must be accessible and responsive to the needs of participants and employees
· Possess the ability to gain the trust and respect of co-workers and participants
· Maintain the integrity of confidential information
· Maintain the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all work performed
· Promote the teamwork concept within the work environment
· Attendance at agency and departmental meetings as required
· Attend on-going training sessions both at Opportunity Inc. and through other sponsoring organizations as required
· Represent Opportunity Inc. in a professional manner at all times
· Maintain a positive attitude at all times
· Adhere to and support the “Core Values” of the organization while performing essential job duties, functions, and representing Opportunity Inc.
· Other job related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
Qualifications:
· Two years of related experience working in the human service field is preferred
· Requires effective skill of writing and speaking clearly and effectively
· Requires the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
· Requires the ability to make logical decisions, carry out decisions made, and follow-up with feedback when appropriate
· Requires the ability to work independently and frequently switch tasks
· Requires valid WI driver’s license, at least 3 years driving experience and a good driving record
· Possess excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
· Ability to travel when needed for training and participant needs
· Requires ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
· Must be able to pass an essential function evaluation
· The employee must frequently lift, support, and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift, support, and/or move up to 100 pounds
· Must be caring and compassionate, and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/participants
